This well-known pasta shape is a wider version of ‘tagliatelle’, dating back to Tuscany in late medieval times. The width of the pappardelle can vary between 2cm and 4cm. Different regions in Italy have different versions and family recipes. Our pappardelle are exactly 2,4cm! Traditionally this pasta is enjoyed with more substantial sauces with ingredients such as game or mushrooms.
