ANTIPASTO all’ITALIANA (for 2 person)

Italian style Antipasto with Sardinian Pecorino Cheese, Taralli (typical Apulian bakery product), Caper Berries in wine vinegar, marinated giant Green Olives, Black Olives and two small glasses of Limoncello. ANTIPASTO and APERITIVO IS AN ALL-ITALIAN RITUAL that was born in the second half of the 1700 in Turin. It’s connected with a relaxed way of spending time together with small food and drinks.

CASERECCI AL RAGU’

Short pasta rolled like a small parchment, with ragū, a mixture of minced meat (beef and pork), LOVE, tomato paste, celery, carrots and onions, slow cooked on low heat for 12 hours, as in the traditional recipe of the grandmothers of Emilia Romagna. But don’t worry, you won’t have to wait that long!

Typical of the small town of Amatrice (a town in Lazio region, long time ago in Abruzzo), from which it takes its name. The best ingredients of these two regions, Guanciale, tomato sauce and Pecorino cheese, complete each other perfectly with the addition of a bit chili TO MAKE THE DAY  MORE CHEERFUL.

LA SBRISOLONA

A traditional cake from north-eastern Italy, it was born in Mantua around 1600 as a popular cake. Its simple ingredients: hazelnuts, almonds, corn flour and butter or lard make it crumbly and tasty, kneaded in a rustic way. The name comes from the Mantuan dialect “brisa”: crumb. Legend has it that Princess Eleonora di Gonzaga, the promised wife of Ferdinand II of Habsburg, fell in love with it and from that moment on, the cake stopped being a simple popular dessert and became an example of refined pastry making.
